STUDY WALKTHROUGH
THE WORD
We want to start off each week on the right foot by getting the Word in our hearts. The rest of the content through the week will build upon these verses.
- Did I read the verses?
- Did I reflect on them?
- How can I memorize them?
- How can I apply the verses?
STUDY
Read through the content and be prepared to discuss with your group. Make some notes and jot down ideas or thoughts.
- Do I understand the content?
- What questions do I have?
- What sticks out?
- What do I want to discuss?
REVIEW
You can never have too much Bible, especially when it comes to our struggles. This is your time to reflect on, write about , and reinforce these verses into your life.
- Have I read the verses again?
- Have I prayed about them?
- Can I recite it from memory?
- What is God speaking to me?
DEBRIEF
These questions will be discussed in your group, so be prepared to share your thoughts and answers with everyone. The more vulnerable you can be, the better.
- Have I answered all the questions?
- Have I answered them honestly?
- Which one did I struggle with?
- Am I prepared to talk about it?
CREED
Some verses will have questions associated with them, so take the time to read and contemplate them.
- Did I read each of the verses?
- Did I answer the questions?
- How are the verses related?
- Have I taken time to reflect?
STRATEGY
We could read and gain the knowledge we need all day, but wisdom comes from doing. Each week contains 3-4 strategies for you to use throughout the study and as you need.
- Which strategy can I use this week?
- Do I already use some of these?
- How will I be consistent?
- Can I apply more than one?
ADVANCE
Some videos will be longer than others – at most an hour – so plan your week accordingly. Make the time to watch every video and take notes.
- Have I watched all of the videos?
- Did I take notes to come back to later?
- How can I learn from these?
- What is the big takeaway?
AMBUSH
Consider this extra credit, but I would still encourage you to go through the material. There will be additional sermons and/or YouVersion Bible App plans you can go through.
- How much further will I go?
- What am I going to put into this study?
- A sermon? A Bible plan?
- Have I watched all of these?
